There's about 20 different variables that go into determining that hard number. I've built turbo kits for your not so average import as low as ~$2700. Most expensive kit I've built was over $15K, but that was for a Porsche RSR biturbo replica.

Based on what I know of the SVX from tearing down the one I had here for kitcar parts one could be fabricated for $3500-3800 easy.....the average sale price for an STS kit. It's not as difficult as most people make it out to be, the SVX has plenty of room. Try working around the engine bay of a 996, or Ford Shogun. Those are tight engine bays.

The difficult thing with me is time, and a donor SVX of course. I'm booked right out through the end of May now and June will probably follow quite soon. I could easily produce a kit, the clincher is whether there's enough following to do so. Building jigs for 1 or 2 kits is just not worth my time...

I said it was a repost at the beginning, but I had no idea it was that much of one.

kinda resurrecting a dead issue with these things, and somewhat of a hijack... but the STS turbo kits would probably be good for a mid-mounted engine, right? Like perhaps a MR-2 or something similar? Could probably stick a turbo in a side skirt vent, kinda like the early 2000's mustangs have (the side-vents, I mean).

That wouldn't really be rear mount then, the turbo(s) would be just behind the engine, so a fairly normal amount of work would be involved.
