...because it is a cheaper and bigger 6!

but they are not going to ditch the EZ for a bore that they ditched 7 years ago. It just doesn't happen. I didn't mean the EG33 was useless... just that we are not going to see it come back to life.. ever.

While the EZ is a more powerful motor it lost it's charactaristics of the EG. No longer does it look good and it is now an interference engine... Infact, they should give the option of keeping the EG in some cars simpluy because it was such a good engine design IMHO

I would like to see the H6T that Perrign Performance is working on in a SVX. I do not know as much about the SVX as you Fanatics. I just love Subarus and am considering getting an SVX whenever we return to the US.

More info HERE

Fitting a a brand new Hemi 528 with supercharger (scr*w the H-6) + custom reinforced any AWD 6 speed with power distribution, Wider racing axles, huge brakes front and rear, 18" wheels, Custom fabricating hydraulic struts, and in the end taking the car to my talented bodyshop guy to fit wide fenders in the rear (maybe an Aston Martin design?) and redesigning the front end with better headlights and reshaped fenders...

P.S: I will leave the fiberworks to myself.
P.P.S: GullWing doors are a must!!

Why is it always the hemi? Not saying its bad or anything. But the car is a Subaru. whole weight of the engine would just throw off the car. Anything heavier than the EG33 to me is just unthinkable. The car is already 3600 pounds and takes long enough to get to the other side of the track. Considering the tires are decent. I would have thought lightweighting the car to a decent level would have made it more of a sports car, but whatever floats your boat.

Why not just make a Rear Wheel Drive SVX so it would fit its Italian design better? Better yet, make a drift car out of it. That would be something people would never expect.

Variable height suspension.
About 500 HP with suspention upgrades to handle the corners with that much power and torque.

1) Find a low mileage 97 and get it into as close to "brand new condition" as possible.

2) Fortify my 1992 Claret with some excellent goodness including:

-Full Engine Refresh, reseal, etc
-STi 6mt with a short shifter and STi pedals
-STi Mounts (Engine and Trans)
-Fully Adjustable Suspension (Koni or Aragosta)
-Brand new upgraded brakes all the way around.
-New Windscreen
-New Hood Struts!
-FlattRacing Exhaust
-Slight tint (30% or so)
-Refinished factory wheels in gloss black with brand new tires
-New Leather Seats (Custom Color Scheme)
-New Escaine Panels
-Glass Sunroof
-HID Lights
-Remote Trunk Release (like from a keyfob)
-Add additional power and possibly a matching set of MB Quart Speakers for the rear with a small MB Quart Sub

Oh, and full body work with a full color change to

......STi Pink with a Black roof and trunk

Mis-read the thread title the first time.

I'd re-build my EG33 in my pearl, make a clone but with forced induction (because I'd like NA and Forced Fed Pearlies), make an XT6 w/EG33 autox/rallyx car, and buy the P2 Prototype from Prodrive.
