Near the gas petal there is a large grommet with a large bundle of wires going through the firewall. Pop that out and run it through there.
P.S. It's probably easier to run the wire from the battery to the trunk, not trunk to battery.

I ran mine down the driver side fender well just behind the small panel and under the driver door sill there is a hole right next to the battery so it comes out pretty clean.

I ran mine through the passenger's side. There is a huge grommet on the passenger's side firewall (shared by the air conditioning lines, I think.) Get an pointy stick, tape some rope to it, soap it up (to make it slippery,) and stick it through the grommet. It'll come out just behind the heater box. Tie or tape the rope to your wires and give a good tug.
Also, I recommend running the wires down the side of the car, not the center. Either will work, but the side seems to work best. |

It does pop out. You could try drilling a hole through it. When I had my stereo installed they shoved the wire through the same hole as the throttle cable. (BAD)
Mine now runs through this large hole along with all the other wires. It also runs down the center console. My RCA cables run along the driver's door sill to my amps in the back.
