Question.

For last couple months my car has been spinning front tires if i give it like 2500 rpm from start, or even 2000 it's really strting to piss me off and it has eaten up my front tires by doing that so now i got to get new tires too.....Any suggestions???

Other than don't spin your tires...

- Is your car AWD? If so your transfer clutch or solenoid may be shot

Yes, the car is AWD.

Depends who you ask or where you take it.

I have not had this done myself so I can't answer your question. If you search the forums you should find some estimates.

I am not sure how much the clutch pack is but the solenoid "c" in the transfer section is only about $81 on subaruparts.com and the clutch parts are about $211. I think it took me about 10hrs on jack stands under the SVX. I am sure a shop would be faster.

If you can get someone to measure the pressure in the tranfer section it will tell you if the problem is the clutch or solenoid. If the pressure is there then the clutches are bad and if the pressure isn't there, well then it's the solenoid.

My solenoid was bad and I had no flashing power light on start up (1992).
