Engine Cover Question

The last time I removed my engine cover (the one with "H-6" emblazoned on it), I noticed that one of the two rubber grommets on the bracket into which the cover snaps is missing (actually, there are two plastic "nails" running through the cover that snap into these grommets).

Anyone know whether these grommets are available, and, if so, the Subaru part no.? I just checked subaru parts.com, and the web site clearly shows the cover itself and the two plastic "nails," but provides no part nunber for the rubber grommets on the underlying bracket.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Try Lowe's. They have an automotive fastener section and carry weird little bits like that.

Even autozone has a wide array of body fasteners of all sorts. I bet you could even get a set of metal washers and fasten them to the eyelets somehow.

You might also be able to buy the rubber gromet at an electric supply store.

Chike -- I have the plastic "nail" clip referenced in your prior thread. What I'm missing is the rubber "doughnut" in the metal bracket underneath the engine cover into which that "nail" clip snaps.

You need part # 14096AA001. Cost you about $3.
