I'm with Earl on this. The red is oxidized and dull on the "sail panels" but the rest of the paint is excellent. I used some polishing compound (finer than rubbing comp), a polishing wax (from Meguiars 3-step, step 2) then a good coat of wax. Both reacted well, but a few weeks of sun exposure and the passenger side is dull again. Figure to do the whole process again soon, but will look for a wax touting UV inhibitors on the label.
These panels appear to be plastic, and have basically 2 flat sides, and are very susceptible to fade. It's also a PITA to do without catching a corner of the emblem repeatedly on your polishing cloth. Ultimately think I'll look at a good car cover to save the paint as it sits on the lot at work, here in the California "Sahara".
Swore after my Red '69 MGC I'd never own a Red car again.

Red may be a problem, but the other colors do the same thing. The best thing of course is to keep them out of the sun or weather. I know that is not always possible, but it is the best thing for them.

I looked at the pic in your locker. That Starbrite stuff looks pretty old school! I did some extensive searching online, but couldn't really find a place that sells it. Any idea where to buy it?

BTW, the Armor-All worked okay. I'm thinking that by tomorrow, the pale pinkish redish look is going to be back.

Starbrite can almost always be found at a marine store - it's used by boat people a lot.

if it's just oxidized then wax (after a good cleaning) should fix the problem. If it comes right back, then the clear coat is gone and only another layer will fix it.
