I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

There has to be a way to make stupid people REALIZE they are stupid, and correct their ways. I don't know.
hey, guess what? not everyone thinks like you! believe it or not, some people don't even think cars are important! they see them simply as transportation devices to get from one place to another. these people buy Geo's and Kia's and Hyundai's and Neons. they don't care about spending money on performance stuff, and sometimes even routine maintenance! they spend their money on vacations and coin collections and other stuff. other people modify their cars with non-functional parts. it makes them happy. why the need to make them conform to your way of thinking? can't you just let them be happy and laugh at them behind their backs like everyone else?

I made the hoodscoop on my 2.5l outback limited functional. There is a plate under it that does god knows what. If you take off the soundproofing you can take off the plate. Guess what, it reduces weight and allows air to flow into the engine compartment, thus cooling things down. this is good!

Please explain how I am being stupid.

And yeah, I have a problem with rice. If someone wants a show car, FINE but at least admit that. But when someone slaps a big muffler and a gigantic aluminum wing on a FWD car and thinks they are fast...uh... NO! NO NO NO! They are not fast! They're posers!

for both points listed above:

it's all a matter of one's perception.

1) You can tell when your being stupid by the fact that your mouth is open.
2) Dont slam the FWD's my SVX is FWD and I manae to be a few AWD SVX's. I'm about 500lbs lighter. I dont have the poor weather traction, but I'm well aware of what my SVX is capable of and I drive wthin those capabilities.

Correction: FWD SVXES are faster than AWD SVXes. But AWD SVXes are quicker. I have many personal experiences with FWD and AWD SVXes.

I can tell when you're stupid when you get all defensive about nothing that relates to you. Yes, your car is FWD. Do you have a huge aluminum wing on it to provide downforce to the rear tires? No. You don't. I'm referring to honda civics and whatnot, and for some reason you thought I was insulting the FWD SVX. I would never insult a FWD SVX, because its still an SVX; I just wouldn't even own a FWD svx because it'd be like getting a 2wd Jeep.

except you dont need all wheel drive to drive on the road but you almost have to have it to drive offroad. So that comment makes no sense.

Or like driving a 3000GT SL vs VR4....

Point being: FWD is fun, AWD is more fun

you can also buy a cone filter that sticks up right off the engine and gets its air through that scoop.. talk about your cold-air intake!
