transmission in and out 3 times!

I or more specifically, my transmission shop, needs some expert help!

Here's the story. 6 months ago, I spun the main output shaft on my transmission (fwd). Up to that point, I had no problems with transmission shifts. Well, about 3 weeks ago, I noticed the engine flare up a bit between 2nd and 3rd. I then "tested" it out, applying ample throttle during the shift and if flared up quite a bit but then shifted hard and didn't seem to be slipping whatsoever. I took it to the shop and they first, replaced a drum that they said was leaking through a seal. The tranny still slipped. They then replaced a set of clutch packs, replaced part of the valve body and some "electronics". It doesn't really slip now.... but if I apply a bunch of throttle, the engine will rev maybe 100rpm and then shift... is this normal? I think this may be what happened before to cause the wear?

Edit: when shifting in manual mode, it still flares up bad... could this be done by electronics?

Edit again: talked to the mechanic, they figured it was a bad solenoid, but changed out the whole valve body. Could the replacement have the same issues? It was a working used unit. The shop said that solenoids aren't covered by the warranty... they are electronics?

Edit one more time: after a little research, I do have a bad throttle position sensor, so I will be changing that out and see if it fixes things. my throttle is "jumpy" and my torque converter doesn't engage all the time. I knew those were symptoms of the tps, but didn't think it had any bearing on line pressure for my tranny :/ think that may fix me up?
