Excited about my '92 SVX

Hello all

I have been browsing the forum for sometime now and finally bought my first '92 SVX (94K) about two weeks back.

The previous owner had maintained this very well and the car is mint!!

I got excited and took for a looong drive. Drove about 1200 miles and on one of the stretches did 110. This seems to have caused the power steering hose to leak and fortunately it was the low pressure hose.

Managed to get a line from the local autozone for $3 a foot and fixed the problem. But now I observe a slight vibration while turning. wonder if I have damaged the pump?

Nevertheless, am absolutely in love with this car!!

Thanks for any help troubleshooting this.

Hari

It may still have air in the system. Try turning the wheel from one lock to the other a few times to get the air out. The O ring between the pump and the reservoir may be letting air in to the system.

Harvey.
