Suspension Question
I hit my car on a curb at 15mph but it was a jolt i may say..... as i slid through. My steering is all screwed up and as i took a peek:
the Lower control arm was twisted. the Left wheel points outward at 10 degrees or so when in straight position. My question to the Gurus is what other parts do i need to consider changing if i do change this? Tie rod? Subframe? procedures? Did it damage my drive shaft or tranny? how would i know? I have owned hondas all my life and its my first subie Thanks to all. |

You're not the first person to do that with their SVX. I can't remember the member's name but if you search you will find the thread and what was involved in the repair.

Wheel bearing is probably shot from the collision. I had a similar experience, though I think mine might have been a bit more severe. I ended up taking it somewhere to get fixed (somewhere my insurance suggested) and they did a wonderful job of screwing it up. Many different things could be affected. Tie rods, ball joints, strut, strut mount, wheel, you name it. As you are taking it apart, inspect each one. I doubt you bent the subframe, but it is always a possibility. If you don't feel up to it, take it somewhere.
