BRAT was a truck. Subaru attempted to sell it as a car but the DOT classified it as a truck and slapped the 25% tariff on it like they did for all imported trucks. That said I MISS MY BRAT!!!!

Are you sure about that? I remember reading that the seats in the bed were there to get the BRAT classified as a passenger convayence and escape the light truck tariff.

They were there for that reason (which is why it came with carpet in the back as well). Just didn't work the Feds didn't agree which is why a BRAT cost so freaking much (about 20% more than a comparable hatchback).

A CJ is a truck to and BRAT should have been on the list. And sure the P1 is cool and all but the 22B is way more memorable and better looking.

i think that list is teh crap - a Mazda Miata will NEVER be cooler than a TVR Tuscan, and there's NO FRICKIN' WAY a Jeep CJ is cooler than a Carrera GT.

I can't remember which magazine did a similar feature last year, but the SVX was in it. I want to say it was Car or Evo.
yeah... i learned to drive in a mid 80s buick... would i be like "heyy i learned how to drive in that car" probably... is it cool... helllllllllllll no.

the problem with lists like these is perception... i think the SVX is one of the coolest cars made, however theres lots of people who would strongly disagree.
