Top speed, air sensing, and fuel

So I have this purely hypothetical situation, where there is one of those air mass resistors installed onto an SVX, possibly richening the fuel by great amounts.
Let's say everything else is ruled out over the course of a year.

What are the chances this cheap ebay mod, which noone should ever install, is limiting the top speed of this SVX to 125 mph, even causing it to drop the tach to around 4k at that speed?

Does this sound like the fuel pump or something related is put on hyper overtime and is just too tired to push on?

Hypothetically speaking, if one were to hypothetically bypass the hypothetical resistor and do a hypothetical speed run, one would know if the hypothetical resistor was the cause of the hypothetical speed limitation.

This is all pure theory, I know nobody would ever actually try this.

No, I would say the tranny is just shifting from 3rd into 4th gear.

Yeah but I assume some people would like to create hypothetical discussion over such a thing before actually having the time to try it. Hypothetically that is.

Ok but what if 3 seconds (or so) after shifting into fourth, the rpms drop another .5k, and remains constant at 4k rpms and 125mph for another 1/4 mile (or so)?

edit: Also let's say this vehicle was tested at 140 before the install of this cheap ebay horsepowermatic-magico device.

And what if someone had it on video?

Complete removal and replacement is the idea.

if this hypothetical video was real, in theory, I would be hypotheticaly inclined to host it.

Hypothetically noted.

I was hypothetically doing high speed runs a while back and noticed a few things:

1. Over the counter octane booster works wonders when used with quality gas
2. TIRE PRESSURE is of paramount importance. You are hypothetically going to be limited to about 125-130mph if your tire pressures are set "correctly" to 32/28 front and rear due to the drag of the rubber having to flex so much. You must therefor theoretically raise your tire pressure a bit to hypothetically reach higher speeds. Just be warned:
a. NEVER, and I mean NEVER inflate your tires above what is printed on the side of the tire
b. NEVER, and I mean NEVER run max tire pressure when doing high speed runs due to the air in the tires getting hot and expanding
So hypothetically run your Z, Y, or W rated tires around 44 psi (if their MAX is 51) and be damn careful.
3. The sunroof makes a pretty good active spoiler
4. There is no forgiveness at 120+mph, and your car WILL hypothetically start to lift at 150 or so without an active spoiler.

All that being said, have fun and be safe. And try to save your passes for Bonneville.

Ohyeah, now we're cookin' wit gas.

The transmission is shifting about 500revs earlier, a lot quicker, and more smoothly.
This probably makes it seem as if it's faster.
I didn't try to tach out, or even go into power mode. I'm sure it won't stick anymore.
