Well, my SVX doesn't have that special roof that opens up, but I can tell you that it is called a sunroof. Moonroofs are made of this nifty transparent substance called glass.

I guess you've tried lubing it??

Other than that I don't know, I can look at mine when I get home to see what is there??

How far back is it first binding up? An actual measurement may help....

Mine has the same problem sometimes, I just push up on the sunroof and it seems to realign itself and close. Hope that helps for anyone else out there . . .

Isn't there a bolt/knob somewhere for manually closing the sunroof?

behind the light in the middle of the cabin there is one of those circle plastic things that you pop off and then you can use a hex wrench to manually close it. my trouble was that that wasnt even closing it.

Here's a quicker for getting longer, more consistant life out of your sunroof ....

CLEAN THE TRACKS
I use 409, a toothbrush and papertowels.
(bet there's a bunch of built up black gunk in those tracks)
may have to reposition the sunroof a few times to get the whole track cleaned.

RE-LUBE TRACK
For optionns: silicone based spray is good, lithium grease, or graphite powder. WD-40 is back because it attracts dirt/dust. The others do so as well, but not nearly so bad.
