Speaker wiring and stuff!

So i went and bought these 2 100w 12" speakers, not knowing that the svx has metal all around the rear speakers...
any other place to mount the 2 or will i end up putting a box in the trunk?
also, the speakers are 8 ohm...i'm pretty sure i can just wire them in but that will end up in them getting half the power (the stereo is a 200w (4X 50w) unit)
can i somehow use both the rear speakers to power the 2 new speakers and get something close to 100w to them both?
any other clever ideas will be very appreciated
(bought the speakers very cheap and don't want to return them)

make little ported boxes that can be screwed to the back of the rear seat with a little cleqarence between the speaker and seat so they can flex
you could find some miniature amps that are made to do what you want to do
(increase power from hu to the speakers )

How deep are they? If they're shallow enough, you can somehow stuff them under the passenger seat. (one, uno)

Or you can do what that one feller did (I think it was B4 you) and put one in the spare tire area, thus leaving your trunk empty.

You have 2 12" speakers you wanted to install in the rear deck of the SVX!?
I think your gonna be SOL on that one, there aint nowhere to cut 2 12" holes out.

Yes you can use 8 ohm speakers, yes they will see only half the wattage.
So your 50x4 becomes 25w as far as your 12" speaker see it.
Then again you could wire both channels to each speaker and that would show a 4 ohm load to the radio, each 12" would see 50w but you would have no left/right separation in the rear.
I would highly recommend just buying a cheap small amp, example:http://www.amazon.com/PLMRA120-240-W...019176&sr=1-17

Where to put them? You can go with 2 small truck boxes, then the box wont eat your whole trunk.
These type of boxes will sit right behind your back seat and eat maybe 8" of floor space.

(they make double 12 boxes like this but they are a pain to move around).

That would have to be a really shallow 12 to stuff it under the seat.
You would need like an Alpine SWR-T12, that is $500, but mounts in 3-1/2".
Even a kicker shallow mount 12" needs 4-5/16" of mount depth, then add another 3/4" for the MDF of the box.
There is no way there is 5" of clearance under the passenger seat.

Good news is the SVX has a big trunk, if you lose 8-10" of trunk for your box you still have plenty of trunk left for groceries.

Yes I kinda noticed that after i saw the metal backboard...no surprise that the thing weights so much
