My Jag

Not sure rather I am going to restore this car or hack it up to build a street rod.

Re: My Jag

Pic taken Sunday morning, (Yesterday). This IS the car that I may cut UP to build a street rod! I WISH that it was as 'nice' as the picture shows, but it is NOT! No brakes, Wood on the dash has 'raised' grain due to moisture damage, threads in leather seats rotted.

I will NOT spend thousands to 'save' this car!

Input!!

I have always wanted a Jag-powered 40's vintage truck!

Re: My Jag

That reminds me of when I was a kid. My dad had a '69 XJ6. It had a 4.2L straight six and plenty of wood, leather and chrome. I loved that car. In 1985 he exchanged what was left of it for two truck loads of firewood to a guy who wanted to use it for banger racing.

I think you should make some kind of special hotrod from your Jag. Maybe some kind of open-top coupe sportscar.

Definately spoken like a man beaten down enough to buy a minivan.

18% Ford content is so much better than your 10% Mexcian content cruck. Speaking of crucks, your next ride has arrived... At least until Ford brings back the Rancharo.

Don't worry you can still borrow one of the Jags when you need to haul something.

Jerry, does that have a lsd? If so please tear it apart and have OT drop off the rear on his way to Reading.

Re: My Jag

It has 147K on it. Even if I decide to kill it, it's not going to happen soon.
I have too many projects in line before it.
I'm just going to buff it out and park it out front. If someone wants to buy it, I will let it go.
I'll tinker with it in my 'spare (chuckle) time'.

OK, fair enough...
It will probably look like this;

But with a Rebel Flag, lots of smoke around the tires, scared rabbits and lots of other critters running away!
