Another 'Brit' for the stable.
I got 'paid' for a job I did last year. The job was to be paid when the car was sold, but. The guy said that he hated 'owing' money, and asked if an 82 Jag XJ6 would cover the bill....Why, SURE!! I have always had a soft spot in my head for a Jag! It needs paint, but I have a gallon of 'British Racing Green' that I no longer have the car it was bought for.
It needs tyres, but the Outback will be due for new 'skins' in the spring, and the Dayton Daytonas can finish their usefull life on the Jag. I always change tires on the Outback when they reach just under 1/2 tread since I HAVE to get to work EVERYDAY. I HATE tire problems! The Jag runs well and the interior is sweet. The body shows minor rust. He's happy, I'm happy!!

Re: Another 'Brit' for the stable.
In honor of your new purchase I took my R up to its limiter yesterday. Pulled very strongly all the way up, speedo was only off about 4 percent. It was reading 4.1mpg at the time.
As Huck says, show us your pics!

Re: Another 'Brit' for the stable.
Does it run well? Interior looks to be very good. Get sanding. It'll be a blast in the snow.

Re: Another 'Brit' for the stable.
Needs a slight clean up but looks like you will have a great project for a couple months. Keep us updated, even if its not an svx. First order of business should be getting that car phone to work, Haha.

I don't even run the pick-ups in the snow! I have seen what 'new' trucks evolved into! I need to protect the old ones so I can change sparkplugs in minutes instead of hours! I have an 87 GMC and a 91 Dodge Ram that never see snow either! I have 2 able bodied Subaru Outbacks, and keep 'touch-up' paint in stock! Yes, the driveline is FINE! It's just faded out and 2 flat tires from sitting. The guy that had it has had 6 major surguries in 2 years. It kept getting pushed back on his list, and I kept helping him and giving him 'stuff'. I recently gave him a 24'X38' building framework. He didn't know that I had it on the truck, but smiled a lot when I dropped it off. Now, I gotta go help him set it up! (so I can stash a car in it)

Now my TVR has less rust underneath then a new Subaru sitting on the dealers lot does. Not bad for a Brit car.
