Exclamation Prestone T- Fitting

2 months ago, I just did a back flush on my SVX. I installed the Prestone Back Flush kit. It really works. I just read the directions and had no problems ever since. I also at the time replaced my thermostat and upper and lower hoses while I was at it. I also was anal and directly shot water in the radiator (Top) and engine block when the hoses were off. Just remember that you want to see clear water comming out when you do a back flush. I just wanted to make sure I did a complete cleaning of the coooling system. In regards to the last reply about which hose you attach the T-Fitting I do not think it really matters. So far I have no problems what so ever. I plan to install that Back Flush Kit in my 2000 Legacy Outback as well.

I thought Subaru engines were investment casting, not sand castings. I tought that if you changed the coolant every 3 years and used distilled water when filling there was no need to flush the engine. Tap water has sediments which will definately leave deposits in an engine and heater core.
