Quota day totally exists. Back home I saw it all the time... there's this one particular road that links the two hills in my town, where everyone from out-of-town goes to get downtown. It's downhill and straight, so everyone just coasts it from the stoplight, which gets you to about 40~45 MPH by the end of the hill. Well it's a 30 zone. If they need some tickets, they just wait at the end of the bridge where the hill ends and nail you as you come down.

Haven't had any issues with police here in California though. I mean, everybody does 80 on the freeways. What are they gonna do, pull over everyone?

Blah lol. The speed limit dropped down to 60km/h going over a set of train tracks. I was listening to an audio book and happened to miss the sign. I was clocked at 79km/h 'cause I did in fact think the limit was 80.

And by 70% I meant 70% of passable light. Not blocked light.
