Speed sensor questions
Is the small shaft that extends out from the tranny into the speed sensor actually part of the sensor? If so, how does it come out of the tranny short of opening up the tranny?
Thanks, Keith |

The square shaft is part of the sensor. I was able to get it out with the sensor.

Before you pull the shaft, put a screwdriver in the top of the shaft. Mark it so you can see if it spun. Close the hood and drive the car forward or backward. If the screwdriver didn't move the gear at the end of the shaft proably fell off. If this is the case, you will need to open the trans.
