Progressive customers beware!!!
Called my BRAT insurance co last night (on a business policy with Progressive) to see about dropping it and what it would cost to replace it with an F-250. The woman tells me that policy has been cancelled for non-payment. This is the first I had heard of it. Sent my payment check in their included envelope with my return add. on it Oct 31 (It was due Nov 15th). It was never cashed I now know by checking with the bank. When I asked why I wasn't contacted (a 6 year customer of Progressive) she said they don't do that because people leave all the time and it isn't cost effective to send a mailer out letting them know they are no longer covered. Granted, it is partly my fault as I don't always get around to balancing my check book in a timely manner but still had I not called I'd never know until I finally get around to checking my accounts.
I have now cancelled my bike policy with them as well. Not worth the horrible service for a few $$ a year.

Thanks for the heads-up. I use Progressive, and so far I've found their service to be okay. I've had to do some sort of complicated things with my insurance, too.

I'll never use a company where I don't have the agent's home and cell phone numbers.

My power company no long issues late notices for non-payment. Ten days late; they can pull the plug. You know you check got lost in the mail when you get home to find the lights don't work.
I'm stuck with my EMC, but I think you did right to dump Progressive. dcb |

They paid me more than what I paid for my car when I totalled it. Oh yeah, after that incident of cancellation, I started paying with my credit card so that I get a transaction number along with skymiles. |

5.0 isn't a big towing engine, it'll do the job, but not the best for moving 15k, but as I recall you were just looking to move small loads and get into the tax bracket a higher GVWR gave you, but better economy than the 5.8, 14mpg is awsome, my 4x4/460 gets 11 on the highway if I'm lucky, thats empty and it never is.
