Poll: Reading SIX dates and locations (vote for TWO)

This poll is to gauge interest in when and where we want Reading Six to be held. Make two choices for both date AND location.

I know that there are many here who have never been to both hotels. Many of the older members may be able to furnish further guidance and insight on this.

The Morgantown Hotel (Reading I) is a million times nicer. Indoor pool, with a bar next to the pool, atruim style building. HUGE parking lot, etc...

The pool is in the atruim, as well as the bar, there are also two hot tubs on either side of the pool!!

I stayed there recently, and they are finishing up remodeling... thats my vote!!

I also voted for April 1-3, because, well... that would be all too much fun on april fools day!!

My sentiments exactly on the Morgantown site. A much nicer environment, especially if the weather doesn't cooperate.

It seems that after Reading III we changed the date from the first to the second week in April, as it was quite cold.

My vote is for the second week in April. Daylight Saving Time is in effect, so we can stay outside and play longer.

If you had it the first weekend in April, your days wouldn't begin to get longer until Sunday evening (after we all went home)

i vote for the second week in April and the Morgantown Hi.
if we get bored with all the SVX stuff going on (yeah...right),
we can always browse the furniture outlet. i remember trying out one of the reclining sofas at Reading ii. i think that i slept in it for 4 1/2 hours.

So i vote for Morgantown. Besides, Randy needs to drive the extra 23 miles to get there.

Did i mention the bar?

i voted for the third week BECAUSE it is after taxes, so hopefully i will have done them at some time other than the last day and even if i owe money will already be booked at the inn so it's too late to cancel and i'll have to go anyway.

i voted for morgantown because i am such a wimp that when everyone else did i felt an obligation to.

I would like to get more of a definitive consensus of the date and location of Reading Six. The current pool suggests the favorite to be Morgantown, on the second weekend in April.

I would like to get back to the preferred hotel in about a month, or at the latest Thanksgiving. She needs to send me the contract and some other odds and ends.

As I understand it, the rates are now very close. One of the reasons we moved to Denver was due to a cheaper rate and the "promise" of an unencumbered LARGE LOT (which always seems to be full of modular homes or trucks).

If the rates are the same, or even close, I vote for Morgantown (despite the extra 23 miles, Larry ). For sentimentality's sake, I'd vote for April 1-3 (the dates of the ORIGINAL Reading Meet), BUT, yes, DST kicking in DOES mess with your metabolic clock after driving for 14 or so hours. SO, the second weekend would be fine with me --- unless that's Easter (when is Easter this year?).

So there. That's my two cents and change.
