Give me a run down, please.

Can someone give me a run down of what goes on at the Reading meet. I'd like to ask someone to go allong, but I know whoever I ask is going to ask me, "what is it". So give me a good low-down. When it starts, what activities there are, the hours, when it ends ect, ect.

You might want to post this in the Reading 5 information thread, but, I think Chris hit the nail on the head. The "activities" are secondary to everyone just getting together and making new friends and catching up with old ones.

Although, via this forum, we're in contact on a daily basis, nothing beats sitting across the table from some of these folks. It's tough, sometime from those who don't spend time on these forums to "get it." It was a little difficult for my wife, at first, but, now she's "one of us."

Mikecg,

You might want to check out the threads from last year's meet for a general idea of the itinerary, etc.

I'm sure the activities will differ, but as Aredubjay pointed out, the activities are secondary.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!

Definitely a "family" affair (okay, then there's the "Adult" drinking in the parking lot ). I went for the first time last year and brought my 11 year old son with me. We both had a ball and I really enjoyed meeting everyone I had only known by their "alias" before then. It is definitely "all good"!!

Reason I ask is because my Subaru Girlfriend lives there!!! She is on NASIOC and owns a Silver 2.5RS... The goes to EMU... I was gonna ask her to come to Reading but her mom won't let her drive her car that far away... Do ya think that if she could get in your track of movement she could tag along to Reading with ya?? She is a very sweet girl that knows alot about Subies... She dosen't know about Reading yet... I was gonna supprise her by flying her out there... I don't even know if she can come, I'm just asking around to get some ideas... Thanks

As of right now we are still a little up in the air about events and such but here's kinda where we are now

Friday- Arrivals and so on
Saturday
10-12 Meet in the parking lot, pics and halking off goods
12-4 Possibly a drive to the Antique Auto Museum in Hershey PA (I'm still working on this one but our original idea of having dinner there got nixed as they are booked that night)
4-6???
6-8 Dinner either at last years location or possibly at the hotel
Sunday
Good byes and possibly an am autox event if I can get that pulled together but with my schedule that looks a little daunting to me at the moment.

Hey man, what about the Rally that we did last year??? I know that was probably a little hard to get arranged, But I loved it!!! If we can do it again that would be awesome!!! I may actually have a good co-driver now.... And make it atleast 2 hours long Also the drive to dinner was awesome last year!! We have to do it again!!! I don't know if anyone has any prefferences but I think a place like Applebees would be awesome... We would fill that whole place up!!! HEHEHE Man I can't wait!!! This year my SVX is coming... I'm not gonna be in that little Miata like I was last year!!

Reading V

Hi Chris, EMU is in Ypsilanti. Yes she could ride over to Reading with us. We go over on Thursday if that is OK. Or she could follow us over, but it would be kind of boring, as it takes at least eight hours. If her Mother wants to meet me I could arrange that. This way she will not think i'm an axe murderer. Big diabolical laugh. Go ahead and check the sex offender registry. You won't find me in it. So what ever you and your friend decide let me know. Take care, BOBB

He heh - now that goes beyond the time members trusted randy with their svx.

Trusting a member with the little woman?

I can just see it.

Hey Ron - can you take care of the wife for a night? She doesn't eat much and she is easily amused.
She likes wine in a box.

Let me know if it will be too much of a burden.
