Front End Shaking!

Hey,

Well its been a couple of months now since I noticed my front end shaking and I am having a hard time diagnosing the problem. I replaced the cv joints, got my wheel's aligned and balanced, and now im stuck. The shaking is worse at lower speeds, roughly around 40 mphs and seems to slow down around 65ish. I am starting to think it might be my front differential since i get an occasional binding when i turn...does that sound right? or could it be my steering rack?

P.S.

I have taken it to two suspension shops and they don't see anything wrong with my car....

The shaking is getting worse as the days go by so i would like to figure out whats wrong with it as soon as possible. Let me know what you guys think
Oh and something is rattling when I go over bumps, so it puzzles me that two suspension shops cant find anything loose... :/
Thanks,
Aaron

Occasional binding is going to be my guess... The whole car shakes when the transfer drums bind up.

When my front differential bearings were toast on the truck, I would feel every bump and things felt so rough...but the truck drove good most of the time....very little vibration, just alot of sloppyness turning and going over bumps.....

I'm thinking you have a bent rim on the car....does your steering wheel shake?

My car was doing that and I replaced the front u joint. It runs like it's brand new. The u joint is like $30 so it is worth it to look at it. It's under the exhaust.

My steering wheel shakes, but the shaking is only periodically is bad...other days its just a minor shake. Did you steering bind up before you replaced the u-joint?

My rim could be bent, but wouldn't the problem be fixed if I rotate my tires to the back end?

If the rim was bent and you moved it to the back, you wouldn't feel it through the steering wheel...

Maybe it's the brake pads riding over warped discs?

I installed my stolled and dimpled rotors from Raceconcepts today and they are very nice. I would definitely recommend them.

nick kas, what is this u-joint you are talking about? what does it connect to? what does it do? and where can i get one? if it's made of rubber, mine is most likely bad and i got the shakes too.

Re: Front End Shaking!

My car shakes at highway speeds and when I'm turning at 50-70 it shakes violently. Any ideas? I think worn suspension Nd or worn steering components but not sure.
