Smile need info to replace MAF

Can anyone provide instruction/photo of where the MAF sensor is located and how to remove/replace it? I need to replace the one in my 94 SVX and think I know where it's located (in the intake air after the box from the passenger side fender? but I'd like to make sure and see a photo if possible and although it looks straight forward, know if there are any tricks. Thanks

Re: need info to replace MAF

if you look in the how to section there is a write up about re soldering the maf with pictures. might want to try that before you replace it.

Re: need info to replace MAF

It's the cylinder with a square block and electrical connector coming out of the airbox.

Pop the 4 tabs holding the airbox closed, loosen the strap clamp holding the intake hose the to back end of the MAF and unplug the connector. Lift the top of the airbox and slide the whole thing apart from the hose. Inside the airbox lid are 4 10mm bolts. Remove these and the MAF falls off. The bracket inside the airbox will also fall out, just put it back where it belongs when you install the new one.

No tricks, no fancy tools. If you can't figure it out as you go then you really shouldn't be holding a wrench.

Re: need info to replace MAF

Sounds like I can handle that. I'll also check the how to section before I start. Thanks.
