sound system dual amp, and subs

okay, tried searching it, could only find exhaust set up

I have a nice sound system out of my former beloved f150 it is set up for a truck and was loud, but eventually ill modify for the svx.

pioneer premier shallow mount, single twelve subwoofer, fit behind the seat, I plan on new subs some day now that I have a trunk

door speakers are clarion 6.5inch with independent tweeters

need to get some rear speakers...

one 500 watt jbl mono channel sub amp,
one 800 watt four channel for doors and decklid

0 gauge wires and distribution blocks, grounds ect

anyways, where have people ran the wires through the firewall?

anyone do anything fancy? as soon as i start ill post pics,

what size are the door speakers and rears?

cant wait to pound my eardrums out!

Door speaker's are 6 1/2 and rears are 6X9's. I went through the rubber grommet by the steering column for the amp's power source.

Re: sound system dual amp, and subs

tweeter install easy? All relative my man. If I recall the tweeters were a bit of a pain as I had to route the wires through the dash to my head unit, certainly doable just have to be a little creative. My problem was finding a place to mount the crossovers. I have Alpine SPX and they are pretty big, can't mount in the door. If you plan on using the stock tweeter covers be extra careful as they mark up/break easily.

0 gauge wire? What the heck are you using that for? I used 4 gauge and that had plenty of room.

Re: sound system dual amp, and subs

electricity loves the path of less resitionce!
bigger=better.

I worked for a sound and lighting company for years, and it was our experiences that lead me to only wanting it.

mathematically your supposed to have it something like over 2000 watts,or multiple amps. I got a really good deal on the stuff, and now I can run anything, 30 feet of red, 15 feet of black for $25

I have noticed four gauge heats up, especially in bends, and I dont like fires, not that alot of four gauge burns up, and I know alot of people that used it, i just didnt wanna risk it,

Does it actually help? or is it necessary? I couldnt beat the price

Gotcha, well you likely know much more about the subject than I. I just used what was recommended by the manufacturer and based on how-to's. But the 4 gauge fit well, 0 gauge you might want to go directly throught the fire wall...although that'd probably be a last resort.
