You need to ask yourself what kind of driving you want to do and get a manual with the appropriate gear ratios. You have a few options.

The wrx tranny is hydrolic right? Is there a way to convert it to a cable. (Just because its a pain to run all the lines and cylinders) or is it better to just run the lines and a cylinder?

No way to convert easily. It'd be all custom and take more time and work than the hydroulic

why not just get a 2.5rs cable tranny, or a legacy cable tranny cheaper and no modding required, the cable is bolt up you just have to drill a 1inch hole in the floor for the cable to go through, then get the pedal cluster

I would like to say that her tranny was put in with one of the kits TomsSVX made and shipped out. I have had the car on a lift and the quality is great.
I drive the car fairly hard and it has had not a whimper.
