Rebuilding Axles

I spoke with a guy at http://www.raxles.com/ he does not have any parts so he can not rebuild the stock axles but after talking with him he said he can get newer STI axle parts.

I told him I think there is some interchangeability with the svx but I was not sure exactly how much.

Do any of you know if he could build svx axles using a stock axle and sti joints?

Re: Rebuilding Axles

The hub splines are the same count. Not sure if the axle parts would swap, though.

The differential ends of the shaft are different.

Do you want to email him and see what he could do? He asked me if I know of any workable swaps, I don't know enough about the Subaru axles I only know that the svx hubs will take sti axles.

Those are of poor quality and many times cause vibrations. I'd trust a raxles rebuild for long term repairs. If you need to get by, then do the cheap axle. There's a decent chance they could use STI joints as long as they have the SVX inner and hub parts. Worth a shot. If so, it's a quality option for axles.
