Well I got a response back from Bev Beasley, Johnny's mom.

She said he is still in boot camp but they will see him June 27th. Not sure if he'll be back then or if it is just a family visit. Either way she said she may be able to make the order around the 1st of July.

She did say the company had raised the prices but she thought the money we had paid will cover our hats.

She wanted me to let you all know that he will not be running off with our money, there is still every intention of getting us our hats, sorry for the delay.

I'm pretty confident we will not lose our money and will see hats at some point, but I'm still not excited about the long delay after paying in full. Oh well, at least I feel a little better about this.

May 1st + 9 weeks = Today. However if you read above, they should have seen him on June 27th. So I think you guys may be hearing from him sooner, rather than later. If not, try his mom again.

The long awaited reply eh??? hahaha sorry to keep the suspence up lids kinda tried screwing me last minute and didn't have the complete order till a day too late and lids tried to pull one over on me. I have not touched your money guys, and I can assure you we are going through with this, if nothing else I'll cover the rest if they won't give me the original deal. I am now in virgina for "A" school and I did graduate the 27th but was only allowed very limited things for one weekend post graduation and had to be back every night at 7 and did not get a chance to work on this. Now that I'm at "A" school and getting settled waiting to class up I will be able to call lids (now that I have my phone) and I'm waiting on my laptop with all the order info and such on it. So sorry everything didn't go as planned but I am a good shipmate and I will come through, thanks to those that kept faith. Should get the ball rolling in a few days here when the laptop arrives. Also, ya the navy screwed us we don't get our 5 days of leave till after "a" school now anyway hope everyone had a good fourth and you'll hear from me again soon!

also for those of you who emailed me while I was at basic wanting to buy in, please wait untill I get in contact with lids and get the original price agreed upon before making any further orders, if all goes well I will extend the initial buy in price to the other interested persons in light of how lids blew me off and never called my mom back while I was at basic. I am so excited, I was starting to fear a loss….;-%

So, how was basic training? I have heard they discarded the gas chamber….is this true? I had to go through it in 1996. That was the worst part about the whole basic training for me. Do you know where you will be stationed? My rate was an AZ3, and I served on the Kitty Hawk, and Carl Vinson. Be thankful the Navy has updated their technology. ;-)

I am excited to read your recent posts. ;-) I am more hopeful once again; I sure hope the company aims to please the clients in efforts to have future orders. ;-)

Basic was easy as hell they have really toned it down since the nineties since so many concerned mothers wrote their congressmen complaining about their baby getting treated poorly. So there were mad restrictions on IT and ****, but no they still tear gassed us with the cs gas it was a really small amount though, when I got tear gassed as a sea cadet it was way more. Anyway, I'm an MA so we'll get the OC spray and stuff so... should make up for it. As of right now I'm in the reserves so I can finish college because I want to go to OCS and fly for the navy, so I'm going back to Utah and then transferring to an ma unit in Florida near daytona, not sure what unit yet. Gonna try and get one that has a warfare pin I want one! After I graduate though, I'll be putting in my package to go officer and then for flight school, then if I get my choice I want to go pacific fleet. As far as the hats go I am just now getting on my laptop and I'm gonna run the order online and see what they give me for price, then I'm going to call later tonight or tomorrow. Will keep you all updated.

Ok so I ran the order online today and its back to the original deal. Original prices still being offered, I'm extending the offer for those who asked while I was at basic to get in a last minute order before I place the order tomorrow evening, as of 2030 eastern time, or 830 for you civilian types I will be placing the final order, I recieved a few orders already that I saw and have added to the lot. Once again order is going in tomorrow evening, then I will call and follow up as to last details and get an estimated arrival date. So any of the rest of you, go to the site and order, after I place the order to lids I will shut down the site temporarily until the first shipment arrives and I am able to send them out to everyone, so this is a last call! got an email back from the lead designer on the digitizing and embroidery team and he sent the pictures of what its should look like once embroidered, I will attach them to this post but the production should begin asap according to lids. I have a feeling it won't take too long to get them all done. Will update when I know more.

Let's just say, the Navy has a way of directing your time, but all in all, I would enlist as a sailor before I would any other branch. I love the ocean, and ventures out to sea. GO NAVY!!!!!
