Re: Black fiberglass hood now avilable.

Looks good man. I have acquired a carbon fiber hood with scoop that I'll be restoring to some presentable condition and putting on mine. The race is on.

What did you do to block the opening, I like it... I just have screen. I was sitting in my car one day getting ready to start it when a chipmunk stuck his head out. That's when I decided I needed a screen

Re: Black fiberglass hood now avilable.

it's just a mesh grill that came with the scoop. It's a duraflex scoop.

Btw, I know one of the techs that used to work at whichever dealer you take your car to. Somehow he ended up at the dealership in my city.

Yes, back when I use to refer to money as "doughs". Disgraceful.

The funniest part is these days I can blow $400 without even thinking about it.

Re: Black fiberglass hood now avilable.

I just checked with Class Glass yesterday and the hoods are now more expensive to have built so any future hood will be a little more.

When last I checked they were $400.00 without shipping or a box.
Oh!
Aparently the price has been $400.00 since 12-19-2011 and I never changed the website!

This explaines why I've been loosing money on almost all of the website sales...Sigh.

Ok, they are really like $399.00 plus whatever shipping is.
But I am pretty sure that shipping is $6,999,999,601.00
Update, January 15th, 2011 the price was $399.00.
Plus a box if needed and shipping if needed.

Hey! I've been busy!

I have more pictures in my locker, and the sizes of the longer bolts you would need.

Re: Black fiberglass hood now avilable.

Does anyone know the size of ball stud I will need for the struts or where to find some?

I believe that the thread size is 8X1.25, but why don't you take them off your old hood?
