My friend Mike worked in Qatar. His son was being driven home in a Lexus LS 400 by the Emir's driver, one of the Emir's sons was his friend.

Driving through the desert a camel ran full speed through two roadside dunes into the path of the car. Driver braked and tried to avoid, but car took the legs from under the camel. The camel fell with full force on the car, caving in the roof and popping the windows. Nobody hurt*, but Mike's son was taken off to hospital as a precaution.

*[including the camel, he got up and ran away]

A week later, Mike asked the Emir's son if he had the car fixed. He said "No, I have another one now"

Money, don'tcha love it??

The moral of the story? If you are going to drive between giraffe legs, leave the SVX at home. Use a Lexus.

Reminds me of an incident this summer, I was driving past a Llama farm and saw what looked to be an antelope running in a open field besides the road. Now I have seen many deer in my time, a few elk, and every farm animal imaginable. And I must say I could swear what I saw was an antelope. Of course I swore to myself I was losing it, but sometimes I just wonder if maybe I am actually sane. After all I own a SVX. And oh yeah, I was in UpState NY.
