Talking This place is complicated

Hello, all. Just joined today, trying to get used to the system. Still trying to figure out how to view replies! Nothing new to complain about, she's leakin oil, Just did an oil change and used a heavier oil (Mobil 1 15w-50). Doesn't leak as much now. Waiting for the Chilton's manual (they sent it to the wrong address!) to replace all the seals in front + timing belt and water pump. Any tips would be appreciated and posted in the tech section. Thanks!

Hey, "long," welcome aboard. Now that you have a reply, you'll be able to view it.

Easiest way to see if you have a reply on a post, when you return to the site, or if you've been waiting a few minutes, is to click on the "view new posts" option, which is underlined and upper right corner of the "inside" box when you first come onto the main board page.

Likewise, you might want to post your question in the technical questions section, as you stated. Some people don't bother to read the "babble" that goes on here, but will look in the Tech and Mod sections.

Again, welcome aboard.

I agree longsahtsau

Replies here rely on the fact that you reply within a thread, and this defines what you are replying to. But it is only obvious if you reply using a quote. And your reply will only show on that thread, not possibly the one you normally use.
It would be a help if each post showed a number, and this was quoted in each reply. However, when you get used to tracking conversation here, it is Rolls Royce.

Welcome, dig in and stir it up a bit.

Joe

Yep! But it sure beats "Msg 40"! I still can't post a pic or animate an avatar, but I'm learning. If you see a trail of breadcrumbs while you brouse around, don't mess with them....they are the only way of finding my way around!

Bread crumbs? I thought I had swept up all those breadcrumbs the other day, they were startin' to attract Goombahs!

Now where'd that dead horse go that I was kickin' on . . .

Whoa! Thanks guys! I was maybe expecting one or two replies and I got a whole welcoming party! Sorry about the bread crumbs, I sprinkle those on my coffee cake in the morning. A tip: When I need to find my way back, I blow snot all over the place, nobody ever wants that! (yeah, that's right, I'm a sicko). But what do you expect from someone who lives in the state with the highest concentration of nuclear missile silos in the country?

Aredubjay, how does she run at 150+k? I'm planning some nice mods for mine, but at this rate, when I get around to it I will have that many miles on her!

Well, you've come to the right place.

She runs like a dream. You'll have no problems getting her to that point . . . if you can keep the tranny going.

Sickos and silos

Sounds like the breakfast cereal of the new millennium! That's not really sugar frosting, just add milk and it turns to slippery phlegm like stuff. And hey, kids, just turn out the lights and it GLOWS!

Now before all of you go and pass judgement on little ol' me remember, we live in the country that actually sells GREEN ketchup! Can you all say BUUUUIIIIICCCKKKK!?
