They are only available in black. Like I heard one time, ".....and you can get the Marauder in any color you like, as long as you like black"

I use to think that too, but look on Autotrader.com
they have several burgandy, and silver ones on there.
One already has an aftermarket Trilogy Supercharger
on it.

I can't understand why you or anyone else would want to own that car. Apart from the horsepower, what else does it have going for it? It certainly isn't pretty to look at.

Could you explain the attraction?

I could try to explain it to you, but then we'd have to
kill you

Some people you can never get thru to, so honestly
I dont see the point of trying to change anyone
elses mind.
We are all individuals with our own likes and dislikes

I wasn't baiting you. I just honestly wanted to know what it is about that car that makes you want it.

We don't get any amercan cars over here and we don't get exposed to their marketing. Having never really seen them up close, I don't know the difference between pontiac, chevrolet, plymouth, oldsmobile, cadillac, lincoln, saturn or whatever. I see you guys on here arguing about how some are good and some are bad and I just don't get it.

Its all good I was just messing with you, but the truth behind the attraction
is I just like big mean black cars, here in the US if you see a car like this
creeping up behind you on the freeway or parked along the side of the
road, your immediate thought is its a cop or govt used car. (FBI, Secret Svc etc) So without a doubt people tend to "get outta your way" without you having to do anything. Plus they really are fast and comfortable.
If you need a 4 dr, for work or for kids, its a logical choice if you dont want to give up hp, handling etc

Isn't this platform the last front engine, rear drive, body-on-frame vehicle left on the planet? I know that's appealing to some.

1 - It's alot like driving a leather-appointed tank.

2 - It feels like you are floating. Amazingly comfortable for long trips. Not to mention you could fit a family of seven in it, reasonably.

3 - the Marauder actually has enough power to get out of it's own way.

I could definetly see how that would be appealing.

i agree with this one... man every time i see a crown vic i take heed...

espescially since in my town there is a 90% old person population and they all have crown vics/grand marquis so you never know, and the cops have the marked cars, plus white, black and GUNMETAL unmarked unmarked crown victorias, PLUS a whole fleet of unmarked taurus cop cars...

basically when i see the ford grille (blinkers between the headlights) coming up, i clear out.

good point dayle.

plus, a while back i saw this preview article for the marauder in 5.0 mustang magazine... looked pretty badass. i have yet to see one in person, but i bet they are quite nice (albeit thirsty )

I see the point of it being big and roomy. There is that stealth what is it appeal, cop or posuer. But when you said handeling you lost me. The ford version is a capital POS. I know I drive one every day. We have over 30 of them ranging from 2001 to 2005 and they all stink. Trannys go often, electrical it's like they used aluminum wiring, the A/C is broke on 5 of them with less the 60k on the odo and they handel like old people make love, slow and badly. I actually think my Pathfinder corners better. Yes Kenny Brown soups them up nicely, but I can think of much more appealing rides.

Paint a Ford any color you want, it's still a Ford.

As the saying goes.

Price. Same reason contractors primarily use Ford trucks. They are noticeably cheaper than GM trucks.
