Angry Front seat bolt not coming out!

I just got a complete leather interior, I was trying to install them, but the bolt on the drivers seat next to the center console, just keeps turning and and turning. I did take out the seats before to clean them and I did have a hard time putting the bolts back in. I know that its lost thread, I tried yanking it out but no luck. I put pressure on the seat, while I turned the bolt and it wont come out. Any suggestions?

Drill it out, and replace the bolt.

You broke the weld holding the nut that the bolt goes in to. The sad thing is there is no easy way out of this.

You have to force the bolt/nut out now. Best way is to pry from behind the bolt while attempting to unscrew the bolt. This will eventually "drill" the nut out from the back side.

You will then have to weld a new nut in place. We did that with the carpet still in and lots of towels and cold water to prevent damage to the carpet or other parts.

You will never be able to remove the bolt from the nut without doing this...especially if it's cross-threaded.
