BTW, do you still have your stock rims?

Yep, I have two, a left and a right. they are in the trunk of my Acura.. which.. stupid thing. lost it's drivers side power window motor the day after I put the SVX in the shop. It got stuck half way down. The commedy I tell you. Clear duct tape until I get it fixed.

The other two were pretty badly cracked and would not hold air, they got recycled.

When the struts are good they will actually lift the hood on it's own once it's almost open. Mine are shot and I use a hose I slit lengthways and slide it over the strut shaft whenever I have the hood open.

I went for the extra hard struts in the how-to's from Napa.
Took about 1.5 hours, but well worth it. Now I can lift the hood about 6 inches, and let it do the rest.

OK, I'm blind . . . I just went through all of the How-To folders and couldn't find anything about using NAPA struts to fix our hoods.

Could you please post the link?

Thanks,

Canuck had posted that he used struts from Canadian Tire to replace his. That should help your searching.

Speaking of STRUTS what can I do to make my TRUNK open? Ever since I added the spoiler to in back in 1993 Struts were fairly new then it never opens. Really tricky to open with the inside trunk release you open it and close the driver door and the trunk falls and locks itself UGH! Help . I can barely lift it.

My two have never opened by themselves, just unlatch. The struts do hold them open though. Thought this was normal. The '94 has a wing, the '92 none.

Hood struts on my 92 don't like the cold(well ok anything under about 70) and the trunk w/wing has no problems.
