Who else loves Final Fantasy 7 as much as me?

It's been a long while since anything gaming related, let alone Final Fantasy related, has gotten me as excited as when I first got my hands on FF7. FF9 was close, but the series in general has gone downhill since FF7. But now, it looks as if the winds of change may be blowing:

Watching the trailer, I get that same giddy feeling I had in the days and months leading up to FF7's release. And now that Square has finally gotten it's collective head out of it's @$$ and realized which game was their true masterpiece, hopefully things will only get better from here.

It's the official US site, and trailer, for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

I personally am playing World of Warcraft right now, and just... WoW...

Its my first MMO and my 2nd RPG and I am simply amazed... just had to throw that in there.

My favorite part was when Cloud had to dress up and go to the Bumblebee Inn, it gave me nightmares for weeks

As far as the fighting system goes, I think FFX may have edged out VII slightly, but the sidequests in VII are what made the game so incredible.

Square is supposed to be getting back to its roots for FFXII. So far, it looks like it'll be great.

About Advent Children, no matter how good the game was (and it was good!) I can't see a movie about it being that good...

I grew up on Final Fantasy, and FFX never did anything for me, nor did VIII. I guess I'm just too old school.

Well then, don't think of it was a movie, but rather the really long intro to "Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII".

Back in 98 I conned my mom into buying my FF7 for the PC. I told her it would help my little sister learn how to read.

Advent Children looks very nice, and is a good bit of nostalgia, but I don't think they can eek out good story over such a short period of time.

70+ hour game into an hour, maybe two hour movie? There was more cinema in the game...

I wonder...
