Site Problems
I received an e-mail form an SVXer in Conneticut who said that he tried to join around 3 weeks ago,. The system will let him read but not write posts.
He is very frustarted. Can one of the moderaters or Chris help him. Please send me an e-mail at work and I will give you his e-mail address.

Larry,
He isn't the only one having problems. It seems that whoever has the authority to "approve" new members is behind in doing so. I wonder if with the old software it was an automatic thing or set up as so, and with the new version it isn't. Maybe Chris can set up a couple of mods with the authority to approve new members??

As far as I know, it is Chris who does this. None of the mods (that I know of) has the power to do this. I have PM and emailed him to let him know of this problem, and I haven't heard back from him.
 I will continue to do so.

I kinda figured it was Chris who took care of these things, and like I said, maybe he can give some/all of the mods to rights to approve members, which would make things eaiser for everyone

Larry,
There was a great deal of discussion in the moderators forum a while back about the manual authentication of new members to the site. This was discussed in an effort to limit who could join/re-join the site. Chris may have enabled this feature on the new software. Todd

I am sure he did, but there is no process other than his authentication, and if he doesn't do it, it will not get done. Not sure where we go from here.

maybe if it is not to hard to do we could have a place to register our cars with a VIN #. That way we would also be able to "track" what is happening to the "few" SVXi that are out there looking for a home.
