Spark Plugs

Question? What is the best plugs on the market for the SVX, had recent major tune up and requested boush +4's gas mileage has improved and SVX is much more responsive. Also while I'm at it what about the oil, whats being used.

I say the stock NGK's are by far the best. Those Bausch +4's are just a good way to damage your engine.

And engine oil, if you don't have any leaks, go with a fully synthetic like Mobil 1.

I agree with Beldin - the stock NGK's are by far the best buy. Check out this thread A-Train: Which Spark Plugs?

Thanks Beldin, and Chiketkd for your info and direction, you said "DAMAGE MY ENGINE"!!!!!!!!!!??????? the plugs will be removed this weekend, stock plugs will go in. Longassname did do a good job explaining differience in plugs.

No prob. As you saw from that linked thread, a lot of people use Bosch +4's in their SVXs (from poll), however, like you mentioned, Longass explained the differences in sparkplugs very well...

P.S. Our Stock Platinum NGK plugs are ones that other car owners upgrade to. These are really good spark plugs!!!

One item to keep an eye out for are the Denso "Iridium Tough" spark plugs which are not yet available in the USA. Same 0.4 mm dia tip, but with a platinum chip on the ground arch.
