Drivers/passenger seat covers= same???

If I purchased a used passenger seat off ebay, could I take the leather off it and install it on my driver's seat?

I bought a set of used suede/leather (well, fake suede and leather) seats a year ago. The driver's side had more wear. My initial plan was swap driver/passenger, but they are not exactly the same. It may be possible with some modifications, but I didn't bother to look into it.
