Cooper Zeon Sport review
As many of you know I recently had to purchase tires with little time to wait for the ones I really wanted. i just made my trip to philly and I am very impressed. The wet traction is impressive and the dry traction is also very good. They are quieter than the Pirellis and have much more grip. I took a relatively sharp turn at or around 9(leave this digit open) and the tires did not skip a beat or even feel like they wanted to budge. I was weighed down with a couple hundred pounds of eg33 and R160's in the trunk but still, they performed above my expectations. I am very happy with my purchase and would like to share

Tom,
What size tires did you end up getting? 225/50 or something more "sporty"? I take it they're on the RX-7 rims? -Bill

Also what's the tread wear rating and how much did a set of four cost?

Stock size, 22550/r16 but they actually have a wider tread area than the Pirellis. They are mounted on the RX7 wheels and have a tread wear rating of 400. They costed me $109 each plus $50 for the mount and balance, all in all not a bad deal

TomsSVX Update review
om;
How are the Cooper Zeons holding up? Still quiet? Handle well? Are they directional? I will need to replace my tires soon and am considering the Cooper Zeon. BTW, they will be on stock wheels. Anyone else; Any recommendations? Have checked the local Navy Exchange and they can get the Firestone (I know - Bridgestone) Fusion, BF Goodrich GForce Sport, or Uniroyal TigerPaw. Checked all three websites and Goodrich, Michelin, and Uniroyal all say they have no tire to fit the Subaru 1994 SVX! I know that can't be right! Fusion looks ricey and I suspect the price they quoted was for the H speed rated model. I commute 100+ miles per day on paved country (1/2), freeway (1/4), and city (1/4) roads/streets and need good tires but don't need street-racer tires. What will fit, run quietly, and run long? Thanks for your help. Tom

As I told Tom and Chike at Jason's 4.44 swap on saturday, I got a set of 205-50-15 on my MX-3 V6. I love them, they're the cheapest I found in town and cheaper than any webs I searched but I'm really impressed with its dry, wet and snow performance. They look cool, they're "fate" tires made in Argentina, it's rated as H, temp is A, traction is A but amazingly the treadwear 280!!! Very sticky and soft. Compare to my former Toyo Proxes 320AA V rating, they handle as good or better but way cheaper, only less than 60 a piece. I would love to have them on my SVX but too bad they don't offer the size....
