You have to change the studs in the back to the longer SVX ones.

The installed R-180 rear with alxes and modified bracket.

Everything fits pretty good, but one thing I didn't count on was the driveshaft flange having a bigger bolt pattern. I have to take it off and have it drilled to bolt to the SVX driveshaft flange.

And one more pic just becouse. I had the wheel off and I didn't have any pics of them yet.

Ignore the rusty rotor, remember the car hasn't been driven in three months.

Jesse,
I thought you bought the NOS system separately. It would have come with jets (50 hp, 75hp, 150hp....something like that....).
Looks like you're having fun!

Jesse,
What gears are in the R-180 rear? Is it a LSD rear, or do you have to swap in the SVX LSD

Jesse,

While you're under the car, have you thought about taking up the slack in the rear subframe mounts with some hard rubber spacers? Some guys have done this with WRXes, and its made a marked reduction in driveline bounce. I'm hoping to try out this mod myself within the next month.

As far as I know all the STI 6 speeds are 3.90's so are the rears. The rear is an LSD as I would imagine all R-180's would be. You don't have to swap out the carriers becouse you can just use the STI axles to. You can see in the axle pics the difference in the STI axle compared to the SVX axle. The SVX axles are the only ones I've seen that use the funny little extended shaft nub on one axle to work in the LSD rear.

I have installed some plastic spacers that I made out of F-150 radius arm bushings in the front carrier bar. If you look real close in the pic with the Koni in it you can see a thin gray spacer wedged in the mount, just in front of the rotor. It made a huge difference in the drivetrain bounce, got rid of alot of slamming from the back. I want to make some bushing inserts for the rear carrier mounts, something like Energy Suspension makes for Neon or Civic motor mounts. They can even be used in junk mounts. I havn't really had a problem with them before but the R-180 rear sits real close to the top of the cross-member so I might need to stiffen them up to keep it from hitting.

I did buy the NOS kit separately but the Stage II chip comes with custom jets for the NOS kit.

Nice. For the F-150 radius arm bushings, you just removed the lower plate on the subframe mount and slid the radius arm bushings in place? Did you have to modify the bushings at all? What year F150 are they from?

wow, so how far away are you from driving it then? You should hit an AWD dyno and get some numbers with that bad boy and get an AFR confirmation as well.
Good work, like i even needed to say that.

I acctually think they were for like an 89 E-250 but I think there all the same around those years. I just cut the hard plastic one in half with a sawsall "very percise tool" and did exaclty what you said about the install. Quik, cheap, and effective.
