built in sunroof deflector

I need the built in pop up chrome looking sunroof deflector. The one on my car is missing, just noticed it last week when I opened my sunroof and had a lot of wind noise. Anyone know how to install it

Re: built in sunroof deflector

I don't believe that the SVX ever had one of those. I know what you mean, I had the pop up lip on my Celica, but I have never seen an SVX with one. I may be wrong....

Re: built in sunroof deflector

Let me know if you know where to get one. I never knew they were supposed to have one, but my sun roof does have a ton of wind noise

Re: built in sunroof deflector

Can someone post me a picture of this part, I have no idea what you are referring to and am curious if to see if my car or my spare sunroof panel has it.

Re: built in sunroof deflector

I have also never seen such a thing. The only deflector I've seen is the stick-on plastic one.

Just checked subaruparts.com and there's no mention of any kind of built in deflector. I also have a complete sunroof assembly sitting in my storage room and can see nothing to indicate such a part.

01 $761.59 Sun roof assembly
02 $248.24 Motor assembly
03 $8.61 Set bracket front
04 $8.61 Set bracket rear right hand
05 $8.61 Set bracket rear left hand
06 $106.33 Relay assembly
07 $71.57 Harness assembly
08 $2.97 Adjust nut
09 $1.02 Flange bolt
10 $0.36 Flange nut -25
11 $7.59 Drain tube front
12 $8.92 Drain tube rear
13 $2.49 Clip drain tube -23
$2.49 Clip drain tube 24-
14 $6.53 Grommet drain front assembly
15 $2.52 Handle set
16 $97.06 Drive unit

Question Re: built in sunroof deflector

I have seen a number of UK SVX's (all have sunroofs) never seen a factory/built in pop up deflector. My 1996 model could do with one, gets quite noisy when motoring along at full chat

Re: built in sunroof deflector

Sorry guys, my mind may be playing tricks on me. I may be confusing it with my first gen legacy wagon sunroof. I thought for sure I had seen it in my previous svx, and with the wind noise louder than I recall on my previous svx I thought there was the little pop up deflector missing. Sincere apologies
