Re: yikees

Octane booster??

Some SVXes are able to handle regular and do ok. Some don't. If it seems to be handling it ok, take it easy on it and don't push it too hard. If it's not handling it well, try adding some octane booster. They sell it at auto parts stores.

Re: yikees

sorry im such a newbie loll so regular and an octane booster? or just always use premium? do u need to use this booster everytime u fill up? might as well make sure premium is put in everytime i would think (financially).
and can i put in premium with say half a tank of regular? or should i try and let it run close to empty? i like to keep a half a tank of gas no matter what

Just put octane booster in now to compensate for the regular, and then after this tank is used, stick with premium.

Re: yikees

you can buy regular for $3.19/gallon in denver. read the octane booster to make sure you don't use too much of it. sometimes they are meant to treat large tanks so you may only need half a bottle.

Re: yikees

Octane booster won't help. Read the fine print and you'll realize you need to add about 20 bottles of that junk to actually raise the octane enough. 1 octane "point"=.1 octane
