What to do with cooler

So, now that my auto box is being thrown to the wayside my transmission cooler in the PWR radiator will be unused. So i was thinking, could i re-purpose it to cool other fluids? What about running the engine oil through it?

I had been wondering the same exact thing the other day. Seems like a waste.

Engine oil sounds risky. Why not sell the PWR and just re-install an OEM radiator? You could get back some of the money you spent on the swap. I'm sure someone around here would buy your PWR radiator if the price were reasonable.

Why would he want to get rid of the All aluminum rad? That's the main reason of the PWR, not the better aux cooler.

Power steering doesn't get very hot. I think you would actually be increasing it's temperature by running it through the rad.

Block it off and forget about it, there isn't much use for it now.

With high pressure hoses,

I do not see it as a problem.

Ditto.

The STi has a coolant/oil heat exchanger from factory.

not going through the radiator though.

oil is risky. i see no need to "cool" the oil unless you are running F/I. just too much risk involved without much reward.
