Re: My Jag

We used to own one. As solid as a tank but its wirings were faulty. Got short circuited like 10 times, 2 of them with the "fire" action under the hood.

In its last days, i remember sitting next to my dad in the front, hugging a fire extinguisher and waiting for the next movie to start...

Jerry, make sure, you REWIRE that old girl before you do anything...

Cummins Diesel?
Union Jack (the anti-rebel?)
Smoke coming from the dash, maybe vertical stacks for the oil-burner.
Scared children, critters, grown men, tree-huggers, etc.
We all know that a Jaaaaaaaaaag is the perfect tow car. Gut the trunk and mount a 5th wheel.
I love it.

Here's another idea.

I won't admit just how long I spent on this.

I will say, though, that I'm excited by the prospects.

YOU, sir, are a MAD MAN! Have you ever considered hanging out in a place that has a PLAZ, 2 MIGS, 3 shops and a Jag in WESTERN MD? We have a couple spare bedrooms! 5,000 acres of mountain to unwind on, a grill big enough to do a whole pig!
You could 'crop and paste' STEEL! That's what I'm talkin' about!!!

YOUR 'mind' is twisted enough to 'FIT IN'!!

Re: My Jag

K Dub!!
I have a picture of a 48 Nash 4 door that is 'set up' a lot like the pic you created! The 5th wheel trailer has a camper, a dune buggy, 3 motorcycles with a 48 Nash bolted to a Dodge 1 ton Powerwagon chassis PULLING it!!
I will search the 'archives' and scan the pic soon! 35mm pic. I took it before algore invented the internet!

I'd love to take you up on that. Alas, I can't even get my own car running much less build another.

If I had half the talent at doing this that I have dreaming it up, then I'd have a lifted 4x4 Porsche 914 with an EG33 hanging precariously off the back. It probably wouldn't run, but I did say "half the talent".

I leave it to you, good sir, to scare the hippies in the name of all of us not so mechanically fortunate.

Don't tell me it's been done! That might force me to question the origins of all creative impulses. My previously held beliefs of Muses visiting me in my sleep will crumble under the microscope of quantum physics and string theory. Are my thoughts really mine?

I'm making a tin foil hat either way, but if it has been made somebody please post a link. Seriously. I've put a lot of thought into this. If I couldn't figure out a mid-engined AWD layout like Lambo's then I'd make it Mid/Rear for desert running. I've shopped for houses with a garage for this expressed purpose.
