Red face #6 Coil not firing..

I am stumped on this...

My #6 coil isn't firing (checked with method of pulling injector leads as well as no-touch temp check on all the exhaust manifolds. The #6 is MUCH colder than all the others) Every other coil is firing. Also, I can hear (with a mechanics stethoscope) each injector clicking. The coil itself is good (checked with spark tester when connected to a different coil lead), I've traced all the wires, from the Coil to the Ignitor (good) as well as all 7 wires from the Ignitor to the ECU (good).

The only code I get when checking codes (after a clear and about a day or so of driving) is 55 (EGR Temp sensor fault)

beyond that. I'm stumped. Unless the Ignitor is bad, (and sadly I don't have a replacement for it)

Ideas anyone?

thanks in advance for replies.

I would suspect the No.6 plug. Have you replaced it?

Harvey.

Re: #6 Coil not firing..

Plugs are less than 6K miles old. NGK Iridiums.

Well I said that as I had that exact same experience with my 95. Miss on No.6, fitted new coil, miss still there, fitted new plug, miss gone.
The plugs were the double Platinum, 20k old.

Harvey.
