newer engines....

when did subaru start putting egr on the svx engine?

Depends on what Country, US from day one. JDM. don't have it at all.
It changed to suit the Country's regulations.

ok because i got a probelm. how can i tell if my engine is really a 96 and not an older engine?
my harness i got from ebay told me i was getting all 96 stuff. well my harness is not a 96 it is 95 and older....i am pissed.

well i don't know if it is dancarparts. but the guys name was dan and it was new jersey. why? is he a scamer?

I have not seen one without an EGR...they started using EGR temp sensors in 94 I think.

ok. if they mostly have egr then how can i tell if i have a 1996 -97 engine and intake maifold?

i know my harness is -95 but i can make it work.

Is there a VIN stamped into the engine? If the tenth digit is a T or U then it's a 96 or 97 engine.

i will look closely again. but i don't think the vin is on there. a serial number yea.
