Spent 6 hours on her sunday. Back wheels hit the ground for the first time!
Still jacked in the front. Cab mounts roughed in, grill set where it needs to be, some of the plates welded in for the 5 inch channel job, (Yea, 5 inch. I went 4, not enough, went 6, too far.) 5 worked!

Max,
I hope that you are not upset that I took over your thread to show the progress of a 'rotting' truck coming back to life.

I think that MORE people should gather these 'precious metals' and breath new life into them!
I would be in the garage right now, but the cops would be here telling me to 'save it for the morning', when I beat metal into submission with a 2.5 # hammer!

No, in fact i love to see people like you (and me ) giving new life to old rusted cars, creating stuff, its just great.
I have ALOT of old rusted cars in my shop waiting for a new chance to live, others have been restored so i know the feeling of having the job done... priceless!

Once again! This is an interesting but depressing site where you can see LOTS of old muscle cars rotting away in farms and yards all over USA and some other countryes.
I visit the page since 2000 and there is always a new car added to the list.

http://www.carsinbarns.com/

WARNING: Muscle car lovers can feel sick after watching those pages.

PS: I will create a thread with some of my rstoring projects soon.
