the beatles rockband
i'm a hUge beatles fan and the gaming system makers have finally developed something to get me to upgrade from the atari 2600. the question is which system do i get?
the wii seems cool because i can bowl, but i did really need a computer to tell me i'm obese? and i like the ps3 because i believe it also doubles as a blu-ray player. i don't know too much about the xbox. also, which one has a car game with an SVX? please vote and tell me why i should choose this system. kthxbai.org

Re: the beatles rockband
PS3 for the win as Xbox constantly fail and need repaired, they have no blue-ray, you have to pay online which PS3 it's free. Wii graphics will be dumbed down and it doesn't play blue ray or cd/dvd. The older PS3 which is backwards compatable will play the older games that the SVX was in but Sony quit making the backwards ones as they cost to much to make a profit on. The only ones I think were compatable are the 60GB which I have upgraded to 300GB and The Metal gear solid 80gb edition but here's the list of ones that will play PS1 and PS2.http://playstation.custhelp.com/cgi-...p_sid=Da_g9CIj

Re: the beatles rockband
wii if you like playing socially and moving so that you don't get fatter.
ps3 if you like couching. blu ray players are getting super cheap now, I would not figure that in any longer.

Re: the beatles rockband
Hi Ken, I don't have one of these, but from what I have seen, people of all ages and interests looove the WII. It seems to have something for everyone. Having said that, if you are a "gamer" I would go for the PS3. Although I would never buy anything made by Sony, the X-box seems to be just awful. I hope you don't get carpel tunnel syndrome. Take care, BOBB

PS3 will have Wii-style motion games soon. you can also add a bigger harddrive in about 2 minutes

Re: the beatles rockband
I own all three. All my kids fight for the XBOX. I don't know why. My oldest prefers XBOX over PS3 for the rockband/guitar hero stuff. I'll ask him and post the answer.
update: My Son says more people are on line with XBOX for playing, it's cheaper than PS3 even though PS3 has free on line playing. The graphics are pretty much the same. XBOX games come out earlier than PS3. When you buy XBOX it comes with 2 free games. Games are not cheap! You can watch DVDs on it too. WII would be good for the older crowd that like to gather and socialize, according to him. Last edited by dannmarr; 09-24-2009 at 08:39 PM. |

Re: the beatles rockband
update:
looks like we're leaning towards the wii. i did find out that with $250 deluxe set, i'd still have to buy the system. i think it's gonna be on hold for a while. TH
