SVX decal specifics / pic request

I know the OEM SVX decals are hard to come by.... but I have a friend that helps me run slcsubaru.com...... and he also makes all sorts of decals, quite nicely, including our site logo decals.

Does anyone have a GOOD graphic that he can use??

Also.... can someone provide the exact measurements of the OEM decal (Length, height, etc).

The EASIEST way to do this would be for someone to hold a tape measure up to their already existing decals for exact measurements... if it isn't too much trouble.

With that, I have no doubt that my buddy would be willing to provide anyone interested with a nice set at an even nicer price.

Thanks in advance!!!

Re: SVX decal specifics / pic request

The Factory ones aren't actually "Decals" they are an emblem, are made of plastic....

But decals the correct size shouldn't be hard to do...
I thin I have one of the original ones laying around at home somewhere, if no one else gets you a measurement, I'll try to find it tonight...

Re: SVX decal specifics / pic request

That's each, right?? I think I saw them on Subaruparts.com... not 100% sure though.

Just to clarify..... the "site decals" I was referring to in the original post that my friend (and moderator) makes, are MY site decals.... (slcsubaru.com).... not SVXWN...... I wasn't trying to steal the SVXWN logo, or reproduce anything from this site..... I was looking to create the larger OEM Subaru SVX decal that goes lower on the rear quarter. I know it is an OEM Subaru part, I just don't think you can get them anymore.

This is the decal I'm referring to:
http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...ighlight=decal

I just got an email from an SVXWN Admin, so I just wanted to clear up any misconceptions.

Re: SVX decal specifics / pic request

the "SVX is 1 1/32" tall, and 6 7/16" long, and the "Subaru" is 9/32" tall by 2 5/8" long

Just looked at the link you posted, and I was referring to the ones on the garnish under the rear side glass...I don't have measurements for those decals that you're looking for...

That looks very good! What colors would you be able to do? Also are the dimensions true to the original?

Re: SVX decal specifics / pic request

We haven't gotten any specifics on measurements yet... might just have to wait until I get home and just measure my rear fender, and then cross-reference it with an existing picture.

I know I'm getting a set though

Re: SVX decal specifics / pic request

The dimensions don't look right; it seems a little compressed.

The correct ratio is 1000 pixels long by 168 pixels high. That was taken from the original SVX decal, which was scanned and used as the basis for the SVXWN logo at the top of the page.

Re: SVX decal specifics / pic request

Matt,

The "SVX" metallic gold decals in can be had new from Subaru. I have two sets which I have been holding for my Claret. (I'm on the fence about applying them)

Re: SVX decal specifics / pic request

I know the measurement is off i just wanted to see if i could cut it with no issues.

As for colors I have
Gold
Silver
Dark Gray
Black
White
Yellow
Pink
Blue
Red

At my house but i can do pretty much any color

Once Matt gets the car to Utah we will get the final size dialed in. Unless Mike621 wouldn't mind measuring the stickers he is selling.

Steve

Re: SVX decal specifics / pic request

I don't think Mike is selling his. He means Subaru still sells these stickers at the dealer.

Yes, Seth is correct. I am not selling them, but I am sure the dealer would be happy to sell a set.

Re: SVX decal specifics / pic request

In the other thread they said they only carry Gold and red. I was putting out an alternative fore people that wanted different colors.

I did the math on the 1000by 168 pixels and it was way to skinny if I did the math right at 300 dpi it is 3.33" by .56" and that would look like crap.
