I'm not trying to do any baiting, I am just saying to try to avoid absolute statements when there are documented exceptions. And I did not mean to hyjack the thread either as your catback is a very nice setup

Re: AWD's Bolt-in Cat-back Exhaust

this can be argued to the end of the earth. in my experience only a gain of roughly 20+ hp/tq are noticable and they have all been in standards. Autos are more reluctant to provide the "feel". I am a skeptic not an optimist. That is why I will not agree or lay claim to any increase with this exhaust that anyone will notice. You can believe what you want but don't drag it here

I am a realist, and I realize that sometimes there are exceptions to absolute statements. And again as you said, this can be debated forever and this thread is suppossed to be about your catback system, which is a good system. So I'm saying let's agree to disagree and move on.

Tom,

Some people just can't seem to "justify" replacing old rusty parts. I think this further enforces what we had spoke about earlier.

Re: AWD's Bolt-in Cat-back Exhaust

Oh it's worth the money. I just caust justify it at the moment. I NEED to get my Impreza running and that's kinda. :cough cough: involving talking to my bank about a $15-20K loan. ME WANTIE ME CAR RUNNING NOW! I'd love to get this+headers+CAI+Hydra+cams. I'd be very happy with the car for a long time power wise and could get to work on the exterior stuff, but I need the Impreza moving so it's not taking up the garage and stuff. Hasn't moved in over a year.

Re: AWD's Bolt-in Cat-back Exhaust

Thanks guys for the threadjack.

Our exhausts are still available. This is what the thread is for. If anyone wants to talk about their old rusty exhaust or their Impreza, do it elsewhere.

Ok to keep this on track though: how much weight do you think you will save with this new exhaust? I never knew the origional muffler was so damn heavy

I would say roughly 30 pounds or so compared to stock. The bullet has a similar weight to that of a Magnaflow muffler.

Easy Mike Easy. Didn't mean to sound likea thread jack. Just wanted to add that I thought it was well worth the money and state my reasoning for not getting one right now for those that might go"Oh well if it's so wother the money why didn't he buy one". With that weight savings though to I may just pull the trigger anyways as. How bout a shipping quote for 03044 or an install quote? I keep wanting to take a trip down to see my nephue and brother in Wayne so I might see about get one in a month or so. Thanks and sorry for the apparant threadjack.

Re: AWD's Bolt-in Cat-back Exhaust

Tom,

I assume this new exhaust system works with a 5 or 6 sp conversion?
